Incheon Airport The Hub Lounge Review

When travelling to the UK from New Zealand we booked a flight with Korean Air. On the way we had a stopover for the night in a hotel (very nice hotel), but on the way back we had 11 hours waiting at the airport. I had a good look online and found out  some information about The Hub Lounge at the airport for public use. There wasn't a lot of information about it so I thought i'd do a review.

The airport is huge, so i'd first receommend getting an airport map from one of the information desks. Also from looking at the maps online and comparing to the maps from the airport the lounge is now in a different place. The Hub Lounge  is located on the fourth floor of the concourse. There is a lift but you can also use an escalator. On this floor there are also other airline lounges, cultural museum and comfortable chairs where you can have a snooze. The link I have given says that there are 2 lounges, but we only found the one.

The full cost is $35 US my daughter is 15 and paid adult price. If you have a Korean boarding pass it is cheaper at $21 US (we paid in Korean won so was 23000 won each) In the link it says unlimited time but we were told you pay for 5 hours. The lounge is open from 7.00am to 10.00pm. Its says in the link that there are free showers, but the showers we used were outside the lounge so free for everyone, the toilets were also outside of the lounge.

The advantages of the lounge are comfortable chairs with tables (not so good for a snooze) and all you can eat buffet and drink. We had a very nice breakfast, coffee, tea and juice and later grazed on nachos, spring rolls, ice cream and plenty of drinks. There are bottles of water and cans of drink. As I was travelling with my daughter, we did feel safe in the lounge with our bags as we had a little nap.

When you have finished in the lounge just around the corner are the free showers. You do get a small hand towel to use for free. Along from the showers is the free museum and across from them are full body chairs, very comfy for a snooze. As we had another 4 hours till our flight we went back down to the 3rd floor and had a look in some shops and went in the Traditional Cutural Experience Here we had a go at making a traditional craft for free. There are also performances through the day.

Feeling very tired we went along to our gate early and stretched out on the chairs for another nap for a while.
